INVESTIGATION
We all met up at the Plume of Feathers at Princetown and quickly made our way up to the ‘secret location’ (only Byron and Graham knew the location).
We got to the car parking area just before dark.
As soon as we got out of the cars Trace got the impression of a voice saying
“I am waiting!” – what a great and spooky start!!!
We made out way up to the area to be investigated, like I said, only myself and Byron had prior knowledge of the venue and its history. Also, as it was getting dark, you could not really see the stone rows anyway. We walked up to the first stone. First impressions conjured up visions of cavemen and druids! Edward felt the rows had astrological significance, the sun and the moon. In fact, he was correct..
We all walked down the line of stones and found the Cairn. A Cairn is an ancient stone burial chamber. Trace was asked to sit in the Cairn. She immediately started to say “I am the Alpha and Omega!!” and “how dare you!” obviously, whoever was buried here was not pleased with the latest visitor!! Checking up on the initial statement, “I am the Alpha and Omega” – it literally means “I am the first and the last”.
The CAIRN

Trace and Edward both then started to complain they were feeling sick. This place was starting to suggest some quite negative residual energy.
Vimal and Suzanne discovered a small stone circle a little way down from the rows. We made our way down and Trace and Edward both started to get quite distressed. They were picking up on satanic rituals. This is something that has been recorded as done at this location even in recent times (post WWII).
We stopped by a large flat granite stone.
Trace was very reluctant to give out much information due to the nature of the horrible acts that were conducted. I managed to extract the following.
A woman was raped many times and murdered here.
Edward had already put up his spiritual protection and did not want any more guidance!
The only word he used to describe how he felt was “Terror”.
At this point Trace also put up her spiritual ‘shields’ and had enough for the night.
Merrivale is a hotbed for Leylines.
Time for some pasties!!!
We had another walk around and Nigel did a lone vigil on the flat rock without much going on. The problem was the wind was getting stronger and you would not have been able to hear anything paranormal anyway!
We decided at this point to call it a night.
All in all, a very interesting Dartmoor venue. A great time was had by all.
Just like to say a big thanks to Byron for setting it up. And also to the hardcore intrepid team who braved the elements. It was really enjoyable!!!
